ON THIS DAY MAY 18, 1928, A frog jumps three feet, four inches -- higher than 49 competitors - to win the first frog-jumping contest in Calaveras County, California. Writer mark Twain inspired the event during California's gold-rush days.

ART SHOW Attention all artists: The annual Rolling Hills Open Art show will take place on May 31 from 6-8pm, This is your invitation for all students at Rolling Hills, whether you are in Mr. Baxter's art class or not, to submit up to 2 different pieces for the Art Show. This will be a juried show and ribbons will be awarded to the first, second and third placing artists from each grade level. Artists must submit their work to Mr. Baxter in room S-6 by Friday, May 25th. Students must clearly label their artwork on the back, with first and last name and grade level. Each student who submits artwork is guarantied to have at least one item in the show. It will be a fantastic celebration of the Arts because it is also the same evening as the always incredible Spring Concert. Please plan to join us for an evening of awesome artwork and great music on May 31st, from 6-8.


NOTES & FLOATS Please come enjoy the Rolling Hills Middle School Band and support the Band Boosters! Date – Thursday, May 31, 2012 Time – 5:30 - 8:30PM (Bands will play from 6:00-8:00) Place – Rolling Hills Quad All four bands will perform starting at 6:00 and there will be root beer floats, a bake sale and pizza for sale at the event.
